SPACE of SENSE – 2019

Space of Sense is a rethinked, interactive version of the installation used in the contemporary dance piece Twilight State. I was interested in the specification of the perception; in the map created by human senses.

I aimed to create such an interactive sphere where the viewer is an organic part, an operator of the installation, and video animation and light effects are disturbing our usual space perception.

The visitor or the performer is the operator, can give orders with pressure sensors through a microcontroller hardware to the softwares controlling the projector and the LEDs. This leads to an automatic work mechanism operated by the choreography of the viewer or the dancer.

Twilight State is an abnormal state of mind with a narrowed consciousness, where extreme emotions are associated with delusions, followed by memory loss.
